The Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) convened its 52nd plenary meeting from 18 to 22 November 2024 in Strasbourg, France.
During the meeting, GRETA adopted final evaluation reports on Austria, Cyprus, and the Slovak Republic as part of the fourth evaluation round of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, and on Liechtenstein under the third evaluation round. These finalized reports will be sent to the relevant authorities and made publicly available along with any official comments received.
GRETA also approved draft evaluation reports for Ukraine (third round) and for Albania, Croatia, and the Republic of Moldova (fourth round). The draft reports will be submitted to the respective national authorities for their input within two months, after which the comments will be incorporated into the final reports. Until officially adopted, the draft reports remain confidential.
Additionally, GRETA members held discussions with Ms. Agnes Von Maravić, Executive Secretary of the Lanzarote Committee, and Ms. Ekaterina Malareva, Legal Advisor in the Committee Secretariat, emphasizing collaborative efforts in combating human trafficking.
